2016–17 RB Leipzig Season
The 2016–17 RB Leipzig season was the 8th season in the football club's history and 1st ever season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, having been promoted from the 2. RasenBallsport Leipzig e.V. (), commonly known as RB Leipzig, and colloquially referred to as Red Bull Leipzig, is a German professional football club based in Leipzig, Saxony. Fabio Coltorti (born 3 December 1980) is a Swiss former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Coltorti was born in Kriens. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga.
