2016–17 Montenegrin Cup
The 2016–17 Montenegrin Cup was the 11th season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2017–18 UEFA Europa League. The defending champions were Rudar, who beat Budućnost in the final of the last competition. The competition featured 30 teams. It started on 20 September 2016 and ended with the final on 31 May 2017. Participants Like during the past seasons, in Montenegrin Cup 2016-17 were participated 30 clubs. Among them are 12 members of Montenegrin First League, 12 members of Montenegrin Second League and 6 teams from Montenegrin Third League - who were winners and runners-up of Montenegrin Regional Cups (''North, Central, South'') for season 2016. FK Rudar Pljevlja, commonly known as Rudar Pljevlja or simply Rudar, is a football club based in Pljevlja, Montenegro. It currently plays in the Montenegrin First League, the country's highest tier. Rudar have played in the First League since its inception in 2006, and won two league titles in 2009–10 and 2014–15. The club have been the strongest in the Montenegrin Cup, with three triumphs, one runner-up position and two semi-final finishes in the tournament's six seasons. OFK Petrovac
OFK Petrovac is a football club based in Petrovac, Montenegro. They currently compete in the First League of Montenegro. History OFK Petrovac was founded in 1969, under the name ''FK Nafta''. During the first season, they played in the lowest-tier competition - Fourth League - South. At season 1971-72, FK Nafta became a runner-up in Fourth League championship, which gained them promotion to Montenegrin Republic League. FK Igalo is a Montenegrin football club based in Igalo, Herceg Novi municipality. The club was founded in 1929 and currently competes in the Montenegrin Second League. History Founded as ''Primorje'' in 1929, FK Igalo is among the oldest football clubs at the territory of Herceg Novi municipality. FK Radnički Berane
FK Radnički is a football club from Berane, Montenegro. The club was founded in 2012. History Football club Radnički was founded at 2012 as a third team in the city, after FK Berane and FK Napredak. After only two seasons, FK Radnički won the trophy in the Third League - North, and after the playoffs against FK Iskra and OFK Federal, they gained historical promotion to the 2014–15 Montenegrin Second League. FK Zeta is a football club from Golubovci, a suburb of Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. It plays in the Montenegrin Second League. FK Jezero is a Montenegrin football club based in the town of Plav. Established at 1934, the club plays in the First League of Montenegro. Fudbalski klub Iskra (English: Football Club Iskra) is a Montenegrin football club based in Danilovgrad. They currently compete in the Montenegrin First League. OFK Titograd
OFK Titograd (Montenegrin Cyrillic: ОФК Титоград) is a professional football club based in Podgorica, Montenegro. Founded in 1951, they play in the Third League of Montenegro. FK Bokelj is a Montenegrin professional football club based in the coastal town of Kotor. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Second League.
