Manama Club
Manama Club ( ar, المنامة) is a Bahraini professional football club, founded in 1946 and based in Manama, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and second-ever Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup. Manama Club has won over 45 titles in domestic competitions. The club is not as successful in football, however they won their first two titles, the Bahraini King's Cup and Bahraini Super Cup, in 2017. Al-Riffa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الرفاع الرياضي) is a Bahraini professional football club based in Riffa, that competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of Bahraini football. The club was founded in 1953. History The club was founded in 1953 under the name of West Riffa Sports Club. In 2001, the club changed the name to Al-Riffa Sports Club. Stadium Riffa use Bahrain National Stadium as their home ground, which has a capacity of nearly 24,000 spectators. Achievements The club's first international achievement was in 1982 when Riffa placed second in the GCC Club Cup. Qalali Club
Galali (in local dialect) or Qalali in Classical Arabic ( ar, قلالي) is a small area in the Kingdom of Bahrain, located on Muharraq Island, north of Muharraq City. Galali used to be the farthest north point of Bahrain before the development of the manmade artificial islands of Amwaj Islands. Around 2000 people used to live in Galali (1991 census). Today, Galali is 16 times bigger than it was 25 years ago because of reclamation of sea. The inhabitants of the village are mostly Sunni Arabs, Arabized Persians, and African-Bahrainis. Before the discovery of oil in Bahrain, most of the town's inhabitants were seamen who were involved in the pearl diving and fishing industry. Between 1920 and 1925 many people got infected with plague that was the reason that led to the migration of population and make it empty, but after several years they have come back. Al-Ahli Club of Manama ( ar, النادي الأهلي البحريني) is a Bahraini sports club based in the capital city of Manama. They used to play in the top division in Bahraini football but were relegated to the second division after finishing ninth in the 2011–12 First Division league.
