2016–17 BLNO Season
The 2016–17 BLNO is the 17th season of the Basketball League of Norway since its establishment. Centrum Tigers won its second league after beating Gimle in the single-game final. Format The ten participating teams first played the regular season, that consisted in a round-robin schedule containing three rounds with every team playing each opponent at least once home and once away for a total of 27 matches. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualified for the playoffs. Quarterfinals and semifinals were played with a best-of-three format and the final is played as a single game. Only in the semifinal between Kongsberg Miners and Centrum Tigers, the format of 1–1–1 was used. 2017–18 BLNO Season
The 2017–18 BLNO was the 18th season of the Basketball League of Norway since its establishment. It started on 22 September 2017 and ended on 11 April 2018 with the third and last game of the finals. Kongsberg Miners, in their third season in the league, won the title defended by Centrum Tigers, that ended in the last position. Format The ten participating teams first played the regular season, that consisted in a round-robin schedule containing three rounds with every team playing each opponent at least once home and once away for a total of 27 matches. Kongsberg Miners, also known as Bergkameratene Basketball, is a professional basketball team based in Kongsberg, Norway, playing in the Norwegian premier professional men's basketball league BLNO. Kongsberg Miners is currently the most successful basketball team in Norway, winning both the regular season and the Norwegian championship in the 2018/2019 season. Tromsø Storm is a Norwegian basketball team from the city of Tromsø, playing in the Norwegian Basketball Premier League, BLNO. The home arena of Tromsø Storm is Tromsøhallen, which has an official capacity of approximately 2,500 spectators, though it has been known to hold more. History Tromsø Storm has been playing in the BLNO since the Norwegian league was officially revitalized in the year 2000. Prior to this, the club was playing in the Norwegian top division under the name Tromsø Basketball Klubb (TBBK). TBBK won the play-offs in the Norwegian top division in 1997 and lost the finals in 1998.
