The 2016–17 Arizona Wildcats men's basketball team represented the University of Arizona during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by eighth-year head coach Sean Miller, and played their home games at McKale Center in Tucson, Arizona as members in the Pac-12 Conference. Sean Miller
Sean Edward Miller (born November 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach who currently serves as head coach of the Xavier Musketeers. He previously was in that position from 2004 to 2009, after which he took the head coach position for the Arizona Wildcats, which he held until being fired in 2021. Miller is a three-time gold medalist as a member of USA Basketball: once as a player, once as an assistant coach, and once as head coach. Miller has won five league Coach of the Year Awards: once in the A10, three in the Pac-12, and once as USA Basketball Coach of the Year. The 2016–17 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team represented Xavier University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Mark Tollefsen
Mark Tollefsen (born November 21, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Maccabi Ashdod of the Israeli Premier League. He played college basketball for the University of San Francisco and University of Arizona before playing professionally in Estonia and Israel. In 2018–19, he was the top scorer in the Israel Basketball Premier League. Ryan James Anderson (born December 4, 1992) is an American former basketball player. He is a director of player development and recruiting at Xavier University. He played college basketball at Arizona and Boston College. College career Anderson started his college career out of Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California at Boston College (BC), where he immediately entered the starting lineup for the rebuilding Eagles. The 6'9" power forward averaged 11.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game and was named unanimously to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-freshman team.
