2016 Women's Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The 2016 Women's Junior NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the tenth edition of the bi-annual tournament. It was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from 26 July to 31 July, and featured eight teams. The Dominican Republic won the tournament and qualified to the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship, 2017 FIVB Women's Junior World Championship. Dominican Natalia Martínez was awarded Most Valuable Player. Teams 2015 NORCECA Ranking in parentheses. Nova Southeastern University’s 366,000 square-foot Don Taft University Center is a critical piece in the infrastructure of the university. It was constructed over a period of two years. The inaugural event hosted the comedian Jamie Kennedy on August 23, 2006. It provides a focal point for campus life. It is a venue where NSU's students, faculty and staff, as well as the community can enjoy guest speakers, concerts, sporting events, galas and other events. Brionne Butler
Brionne Kierra Butler (born January 29, 1999) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as a middle blocker for the United States women's national volleyball team and Italian Series A1 professional league Chieri. Early life Butler was born in Louisiana to Brian Butler and Javonne Brooks and grew up in Kendleton, Texas. Her mother played volleyball for University of New Orleans and holds 2nd place in the NCAA record books for career kills. She attended high school at Boling High School, and was the #2 nationally ranked recruit in her graduating class. While in high school, she was on the Junior USA national team. She eventually committed to play for the University of Texas. Women's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The NORCECA Women's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA). Since its introduction in 1969 the tournaments have been awarded every two years. Natalia Martínez
Natalia Martínez (born November 25, 2000) is a Dominican Republic female volleyball player. With her club Mirador she competed at the 2015 FIVB Club World Championship. She won the 2015 FIVB U20 World Championship gold medal and silver in the 2017 FIVB U18 World Championship. Career 2014 Martínez helped her home country to win for the first time Youth NORCECA Championship defeating the United States and qualifying for the 2015 FIVB Girls' World Championship at the time she was decorated with the Most Valuable Player award.
