2017 UCI America Tour
The 2017 UCI America Tour was the thirteenth season of the UCI America Tour. The season began on October 24, 2016 with the Vuelta a Guatemala and ended on October 15, 2017. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Víctor García (cyclist)
Víctor Manuel García Estévez (born April 5, 1981) is a Spanish former racing cyclist. García was born in Miranda de Ebro. After winning the second stage time trial, he won the general classification of the Ruta del Centro in 2017. He also took fourth place in the Vuelta Ciclista de Chile, just behind teammate Efrén Santos, who was the best climber of the event. At the end of this season, he retired from cycling, with his last competition being the Vuelta Ciclista a Costa Rica. Golfito
Golfito is a district and port town of the Golfito canton, in the Puntarenas province of Costa Rica, located on the southern Pacific Coast, near the border of Panama. Toponymy Literally translated as 'little gulf'. Geography Golfito has an area of km² and an elevation of metres. From the northern section, which was the old United Fruit Company headquarters, trails go up to the Golfito Mixed Wildlife Refuge on the hill, which is part of the National System of Conservation Areas. An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage").
