The 2016 Uzbekistan Cup is the 24th season of the annual Uzbekistan Cup, Uzbek football Cup competition. The competition started on 14 March 2016 and ended in November 2016. The cup winner is guaranteed a place in the 2017 AFC Champions League. The owner and main sponsor of the club is a state-owned company Uzbek Railways. History Lokomotiv was founded in 2002. In 2002–2003 club played in second level of Uzbek Football – Uzbekistan First League, First League and from 2004 to 2010 in Uzbek League. FC Mash'al Mubarek ( uz, Mashal Muborak professional futbol klubi) is an Uzbek football club based in Mubarek. ''Mash'al'' means a torch. History The club was founded in 1982. Mashʼal played its first years in province league, later in UzSSR league. In 1993 the club started to play in Uzbekistan First League and two years later after 1994 season club gained promotion to Oliy League.
