The Liga Profesional de Primera División (American Spanish , en, First Division Professional League, local: , ''First Division''), named "Torneo Uruguayo Copa Coca-Cola" for sponsorship reasons, is the highest professional Association football, football league in Uruguay and organized by the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF). Club Atlético Juventud is a sports club from Las Piedras, Canelones in Uruguay. CA Juventud won promotion to the Primera División Uruguaya to start in August 2007. History The club was born from a group of youths from Las Piedras, Uruguay who played soccer at San Isidro Catholic school. On December 24, 1935 the boys arrived at school expecting to play (as always having arranged the match the day before), but when they got there the priests had forbidden it as they were preparing a big nativity crèche set on the field. Angry, the students, among them Carlos Maria Cabrera (who would later become the first president of the club) met in the town square and decided to found the club on Christmas Eve 1935, in rebellion against the priests. Las Piedras is a city in the Canelones Department of Uruguay. As of the census of 2011, it is the seventh most populated city of the country. Las Piedras is also the name of the municipality to which the city belongs. Location The city is located on the east side of Route 5, north of the border with Montevideo Department. The Estadio Luis Franzini (or Luis Franzini Stadium) is an outdoor football stadium located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The stadium's maximum capacity is 16,000 people, and it is the home ground of Defensor Sporting. The stadium was closed during the 1997 season for renovations. It reopened on 16 August 1998 with the name ''Nuevo Estadio Luis Franzini''. Renovations included a seating capacity increase and leveling of the playing area. Club Atlético River Plate is a Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. The club currently plays in the Primera División, the top level of the Uruguayan football league system.
