The United States beat Canada in the final to win the gold medal. Results Qualifying The qualifying was started at 13:00. First round The winners of the first two heats advanced to the final. After that, the results were used to determine the placement rounds. It was held at 15:20. Finals The final were started at 19:05. Lee Valley VeloPark
Lee Valley VeloPark is a cycling centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England. It is owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, and it was opened to the public in March 2014. The facility was one of the permanent venues for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Lee Valley VeloPark is at the northern end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It has a velodrome and BMX racing track, which have been used for the Games, as well as a one-mile (1.6 km) road course and 5 miles (8 km) of mountain bike trails. The park replaces the Eastway Cycle Circuit demolished to make way for it. The facilities built for the Olympics were constructed between 2009 and 2011. Rushlee Buchanan (born 20 January 1988) is a New Zealand track and road cyclist. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's madison, and Women's team pursuit. Career She won bronze at the 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in the Team Pursuit. She competed in the scratch, points and road races at both the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. She has won the women's New Zealand road race championships a record four times, in 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2017. She won the New Zealand time trial championships in 2016. Amy Louise Cure (born 31 December 1992) is an Australian former professional track cyclist. She cycles for Team Jayco–AIS. She has set several world records. She won a junior world championship race in 2009, and represented Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She is the first person in history to medal at every endurance track event at world championship level; with three newly gained medals in the team pursuit, omnium, and madison at 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Hong Kong. Ashlee Ankudinoff (born 20 August 1990) is an Australian professional Cycle sport, racing cyclist. Biography Ankudinoff was born in Sydney, New South Wales. She began competitive cycling at the age of fifteen on the road. Ankudinoff was a member of the gold medal-winning team pursuit squad, and also took the victory in the individual pursuit at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in 2008. Georgia Baker (born 21 September 1994) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She rode in the women's team pursuit at the 2016 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Cycling career After taking a break from road racing in 2016 with the High5 Dream Team to focus on her Rio Olympics campaign, Orica-Scott announced signing Baker to race in the Women's World Tour team for 2017. In her first European race for the Orica-Scott team at the end of May, Baker was among the 90 non-finishers of 121 that started at Gooik–Geraardsbergen–Gooik. Baker in her second race on the opening stage at The Women's Tour at the start of June after a racing heart and sharp pains were felt in her chest and arm, exercising caution having lost her father to a heart attack in 2015, she withdrew from the race.
