2016 Pajot Hills Classic
The 2016 Pajot Hills Classic was the first edition of the Pajot Hills Classic, a women's bicycle race in Belgium. It was held on 30 March 2016 over a distance of starting and finishing in Gooik. It was rated by the UCI as a 1.2 category race. Race In the first part of the race the American Alison Tetrick (Cylance) went solo in the breakaway. She was caught and between the Muur van Geraardsbergen and the Bosberg the peloton split in several parts with a front group of about forty riders. With less than 20 km to go the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Rabo Liv) escaped and a bit later Ellen van Dijk (Boels–Dolmans), Anna van der Breggen (Rabo Liv), Megan Guarnier (Boels–Dolmans) and Elisa Longo Borghini (Wiggle High5) joined her. Marianne Vos (; born 13 May 1987) is a Dutch multi-discipline cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . After winning a junior European and World Championship in road racing, she continued her success in senior cycling by becoming World Champion in cyclo-cross and road racing at the age of 19. Vos added track racing World Championships when she won the points race in 2008 and the scratch race in 2011. Elisa Longo Borghini
Elisa Longo Borghini (born 10 December 1991) is an Italian professional road cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . During her career, Longo Borghini has won two bronze medals in the road race at the Summer Olympic Games, taking third-place finishes in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She has also won two bronze medals in the equivalent event at the UCI Road World Championships, doing so in 2012 and 2020. Sofie De Vuyst (born 2 April 1987) is a Belgian former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2006 and 2019. Between 2010 and 2016 she competed in every UCI Road World Championships. She was voted 2019 Flandrienne of the Year (best Belgian female cyclist). In September 2019, De Vuyst tested positive for an exogenous steroid in an out of competition control. De Vuyst's positive test came on 18 September, in the week after the Belgium Tour, where she finished seventh overall and won the mountains classification, and before the UCI Road World Championships. Lauren Rollin (born 21 November 1990) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2012 and 2021. A female road cyclist from New South Wales, Australia, Rollin studied a Bachelor of Planning at the University of NSW in Sydney part-time as well as cycling for NSW and Australia at local, interstate and international events. Lotta Pauliina Henttala (née Lepistö; born 28 June 1989) is a Finnish racing cyclist, who rides for Finnish amateur team Henttala Development Team. She has won the Finnish National Road Race Championships seven times, consecutively between 2012 and 2018.
