2016 PCBL Chairman's Cup
The 2016 PCBL Chairman's Cup was the second and the last conference of the inaugural season of the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League and the first and the last offering of PCBL for the year 2016. It was opened on March 6, 2016 at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in Malolos, Bulacan. The PCBL games will be televised on a delayed basis on AksyonTV. On May 27, 2016, the 2016 PCBL Chairman's Cup championship was awarded to Jumbo Plastic Linoleum Giants setting the first record for back to back championship wins for the Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League, after beating the heavily star-studded team Mighty Sports 80-68 on Game 3. Jeff Viernes also was named as the Finals MVP averaging 22.7 points per game. Raul Soyud (born January 14, 1991) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played college basketball for the UP Fighting Maroons of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Raymon "Jammer" Jamito (born September 1, 1990) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Bacoor City Strikers of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Professional career Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Jamito was the 3rd pick of the regular round in the 2016 PBA draft. In 2017, Jamito was part of the Slam Dunk Contest during All-Star Week. The crowd expected him to jump over 6-foot-9 Japeth Aguilar. Instead, he side-stepped him and did a basic one-hand dunk, drawing laughs from the crowd. Eliud Poligrates is a Filipino professional basketball player. He was drafted 27th overall in the 2013 PBA draft by Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters. Amateur career Eliud was brought in by Southwestern University scouts after he was discovered playing in small leagues in his hometown of Camotes Island – a group of islands that form part of the province of Cebu.
