2016 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team
The 2016 Nebraska Cornhuskers football team represented the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was coached by second-year head coach Mike Riley and played their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. They were members of the West Division of the Big Ten Conference. Previous season and offseason In the 2015 Nebraska Cornhuskers football season, the team finished 5–7 in the regular season, their 39–38 win over playoff team Michigan State being the most notable. Though not bowl eligible based on their regular-season record, the Cornhuskers went to the Foster Farms Bowl (as a result of a lack of bowl-eligible teams and their high Academic Progress Rate) and beat UCLA 37–29. The team finished 4th in the Big Ten West division at the end of the season. Mike Riley (American Football)
Michael Joseph Riley (born July 6, 1953) is an American football coach who is the head coach and general manager for the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League (USFL). He has previously served as the head coach of two college football programs: Oregon State (1997–1998, 2003–2014) and Nebraska (2015–2017). Riley has also been the head coach of teams in four different professional leagues: the Canadian Football League (CFL), World League of American Football (WLAF), National Football League (NFL), and Alliance of American Football (AAF). Tanner Lee
Tanner Joseph Lee (born February 14, 1995) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Nebraska and Tulane. Early years Lee was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and was raised in Destrehan, Louisiana. He attended Jesuit High School, where he played both football and baseball for the Blue Jays. In his career, he led the Blue Jays football to a 30–8 record while passing for 3984 yards, 39 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. College career 2014 season Lee redshirted as a freshman at Tulane in 2013. In 2014, he became the starter. On August 28, 2014, Lee recorded 262 yards and three touchdowns in his college debut against Tulsa. On September 13, he tossed three touchdowns and recorded 238 yards against Southeastern Louisiana. The 2016 Michigan State Spartans football team represented Michigan State University during the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Spartans played in the East Division of the Big Ten Conference and played their home games at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. They were led by head coach Mark Dantonio, who was in his tenth season. They finished the season 3–9, 1–8 in Big Ten play to finish in sixth place in the East Division. Santa Ana College
Santa Ana College is a public community college in Santa Ana, California. History In 1915, Santa Ana Junior College opened its doors to 25 students as a department of Santa Ana High School. It was the second community college founded in Orange County, behind Fullerton College, and the fourth oldest in all of California. In 1932, a charter of Gamma Sigma Fraternity International was granted. Beta Alpha Chapter was at the school from 1932 to 1938 but anti-fraternity agitation and lack of communication with the organization in the east made the chapter dormant by 1938. The 1933 Long Beach earthquake damaged the Santa Ana High School building, prompting the campus move to North Main Street where it remained until 1947.
