The 2016 Nagoya Grampus season was Nagoya Grampus' 24th season in the J.League Division 1 and 34th overall in the Japanese top flight. Takafumi Ogura managed the team until 23 August, when he was replaced with Boško Gjurovski. Nagoya Grampus finished the season in 16th place, being relegated to J2 League for the first time in their history, whilst being knocked out of the Emperor's Cup at the Second Round stage by Nagano Parceiro and the failing to progress from their J.League Cup group. Nagoya Grampus
(formerly known as ) is a Japanese association football club that plays in the J1 League, following promotion from the J2 League in 2017. Based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture and founded as the company team of the Toyota Motor Corp. in 1939, the club shares its home games between Mizuho Athletic Stadium (capacity 27,000 and the J.League's oldest serving stadium) and the much larger Toyota Stadium in the suburb of Toyota (capacity 45,000). The team had its most successful season up to 1995 when it was managed by Arsène Wenger, well known for his subsequent exploits at Arsenal. They won the Emperor's Cup and finished second in the J.League, with Dragan Stojković and Gary Lineker on the team. The 1995 success was eclipsed on November 20, 2010, when the club won its first J.League trophy, under the management of Stojković. is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or a winger for J1 League club Kashiwa Reysol. Career Nagoya Grampus Koyamatsu made his official debut for Nagoya Grampus in the J. Kisho Yano
is a Japanese professional footballer who plays as a forward or right-back for Tochigi SC. Club career Yano was born in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. He was chosen as one of the Designated Players for Development by J.League and JFA in 2002 when he was a student of Hamana High School. Because of this status, Yano was able to register as a Júbilo Iwata player while he was still eligible to play for his high school club. However, he did not play any official match for Iwata. Tomokazu Myojin
is a Japanese former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He played for the Japan national team. Club career Myojin was born in Kobe on 24 January 1978. He joined J1 League club Kashiwa Reysol from youth team in 1996. He played many matches as defensive midfielder from first season. He became a regular player under manager Akira Nishino in 1998.
