2016 Men's South American Volleyball Club Championship
The 2016 Men's South American Volleyball Club Championship was the eighth official edition of the men's volleyball tournament, played by eight teams from 17 to 21 February 2016 in Taubate, Brazil. Sada Cruzeiro defeated the local team Funvic Taubaté in the final match, and qualified for the 2016 Club World Championship. Associação Social E Esportiva Sada
Sada Cruzeiro Vôlei is a Brazilian professional volleyball team based in Contagem, Minas Gerais, Brazil. They compete in the Brazilian Superliga and were the champions in the 2011–12, 2013–14 and 2014–15 seasons. In 2012, 2014 and 2016 won the South American Championship. History Founded in 2006 in Betim, part of the Belo Horizonte metropolitan area in the state of Minas Gerais, Sada merged with Cruzeiro in 2009 and is now based in neighbouring Contagem. The volleyball team was founded in 2006 as "Sada Betim" and had the Grupo Sada as the main sponsor. Throughout the years, Sada, the company based in Betim, Minas Gerais, has become responsible for managing the "Club", and in 2008 the "Associação Social e Esportiva Sada" was created. Deivid de Souza, commonly known as Deivid (born 22 October 1979), is a Brazilian professional football coach and former player who most recently managed Criciúma. Club career Early career He was transferred from Santos, where he was paired with Robinho, at the beginning of the 2005–2006 to Sporting CP for a sum of €3.7 million. Ricardo Samuel Lucarelli Santos de Souza (born 14 February 1992) is a Brazilian professional volleyball player. He is a member of the Brazil national team. William Arjona (born 31 July 1979) is a Brazilian volleyball player, a member of Brazil men's national volleyball team and Brazilian club Sada Cruzeiro. He is a 2016 Olympic Champion. Arjona was called up for the adult national team for the first time in 2003, he played four years in Bolivar, where he conquered the national championship four times and was chosen as the best player in the country.
