Doc Holliday (American Football)
John "Doc" Holliday (born April 21, 1957) is an American football coach and former player. He was the head football coach at Marshall University from 2010 to 2020. Early life Holliday was born and raised in Hurricane, West Virginia, where he was a football star as well as a state champion wrestler at Hurricane High School. He graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1979, then graduated with a master's degree in 1981 in Safety Management. Holliday was also a three-year letterwinner while playing linebacker at West Virginia. The Morgan State Bears football team competes in American football on behalf of Morgan State University. The Bears compete in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision, currently as a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
