2016 IFK Norrköping Season
The 2016 season is IFK Norrköping's 119th in existence, their 76th season in Allsvenskan and 6th consecutive season in the league. The club compete in 2016 Allsvenskan, 2015–16 Svenska Cupen (group stage and onwards), 2016–17 Svenska Cupen (qualifying rounds) and 2016–17 UEFA Champions League (entering in the second qualifying round as winners of 2015 Allsvenskan). IFK drew an average home league attendance of 10,449. The season began on 20 February 2016 with the 2015–16 Svenska Cupen group stage, and the league began on 2 April 2016 and ended in November 2016. IFK Norrköping are the defending league champions after they won the 2015 Allsvenskan in the last match of the season. In that last match they defeated the champions from the previous season, Malmö FF, with 2–0 and enjoyed their first league title for 26 years (13 titles in total). Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Norrköping, more commonly known as IFK Norrköping or simply Norrköping, is a Swedish professional football club based in Norrköping. The club is affiliated to Östergötlands Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Östgötaporten. The club colours, reflected in their crest and kit, are white and blue. Formed on 29 May 1897, the club have won thirteen national championship titles and six national cup titles. The club plays in the highest Swedish tier, Allsvenskan, which they first won in 1943. 2014 Allsvenskan
The 2014 Allsvenskan, part of the 2014 Swedish football season, was the 90th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The 2014 fixtures were released on 20 December 2013. The season started on 30 March 2014 and concluded on 1 November 2014. Malmö FF were the defending champions from the 2013 season. Malmö FF won the Swedish championship this season, their 21st Allsvenskan title and 18th Swedish championship overall, in the 27th round on 5 October 2014 when they won 3–2 in the away fixture against AIK at Friends Arena. Malmö FF became the first club to defend a Swedish championship by winning consecutive Allsvenskan titles since Djurgårdens IF in the 2003 season. Christopher Rasmus Nilsson Telo (born 4 November 1989), known as Christopher Telo, is an English-born Swedish footballer who plays for IFK Norrköping as a left back. Rolf Linus Wahlqvist Egnell (born 11 November 1996) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays for Pogoń Szczecin as a defender.
