The 2016 FIBA U16 European Championship was the 30th edition of the European Under-16 Basketball Championship. Sixteen teams participated in the competition, held in Radom, Poland, from 12 to 20 August 2016. Bosnia and Herzegovina, the defending champions, were relegated to the 2017 Division B. Luka Šamanić
Luka Šamanić (born 9 January 2000) is a Croatian professional basketball player for the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League. A power forward, he was drafted 19th overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2019 NBA draft. A native of Zagreb, Šamanić started his youth career with the eponymous basketball club. Dovydas Giedraitis
Dovydas Giedraitis (born August 17, 2000) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Žalgiris Kaunas of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Early career Giedraitis started his career in 2016, playing in the Lithuanian second-tier NKL with Ežerūnas Molėtai. Professional career In August 2017, Giedraitis signed a long-term contract with Movistar Estudiantes of the Spanish Liga ACB. Under the terms of the deal, Giedraitis spent the first two seasons playing for the club’s reserve U-18 team CB Estudiantes B in the fourth-tier Liga EBA. FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The FIBA U16 European Championship, previously known as the FIBA Europe Championship for Cadets, is a youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1971 edition. Through the 2003 edition, it was held every second year, but since the 2004 edition onward, it is held every year. It serves as the qualification tournament for the FIBA Under-17 World Cup in odd years, for the FIBA Europe region. The current champions are Lithuania. The 2017 FIBA U16 European Championship Division B was played in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 10 to 19 August 2017. 24 teams participated in the competition. Greece won the competition without losing a single game and won the promotion to Division A. Netherlands and Georgia also gained promotion. Oton, officially the Municipality of Oton (; krj, Banwa kang Oton, hil, Banwa sang Oton, tgl, Bayan ng Oton), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines.
