Grumier is a three-time team European champion, 2015 individual European champion, and five-time team world champion. A two-time Olympian, Grumier is a 2016 team Olympic champion and 2016 individual Olympic bronze medalist. Career Grumier won the gold medal in the épée team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after beating Spain in the final. Marcus Mepstead OLY ( ; born 11 May 1990) is a British Olympic foil fencer, who competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro. A team bronze medallist at the 2010 and 2013 European Championships, and team gold medallist at the 2015 European Games. Richard Kruse (born 30 July 1983) is a former British right-handed foil fencer and four-time Olympian. In 2015, he was part of the Great Britain team that shocked Olympic champions Italy to win the first European Games gold in team foil, the first British gold medal in a team fencing event at World or European level for fifty years. Laurence Cassøe Halsted (born 22 May 1984) is a British foil fencer, silver medallist in the 2008 European Championships and author of Becoming A True Athlete: A Practical Philosophy For Flourishing Through Sport. Career Halsted is the son of Nick Halsted, who fenced for Great Britain in the 1968 Summer Olympics, and Clare Henley-Halsted, who competed in foil in the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics. He took up fencing himself at the Finchley Foil club and soon showed promise, winning the 2001 Junior European Championships in Keszthely. James-Andrew Davis (born 3 July 1991) is a British fencer, European champion in 2014. He competed in men's foil at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Career Davis was born and brought up in Barnet, North London. He became interested in fencing at the age of four, while waiting for his mother to pick up his brother for his own sport at a Saturday club and fenced at clubs including RLS Fencing and Finchley Foils.
