2016 ECAC Hockey Men's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2016 ECAC Hockey Men's Ice Hockey Tournament is the 55th ECAC Hockey Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, tournament in league history. It was played between March 4 and March 19, 2016. First Round and Quarterfinal games were played at home team campus sites, while the final four games were played at the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid, New York. By winning the tournament, the team receives the ECAC Hockey, ECAC's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. Format The tournament features four rounds of play. The teams that finish above fifth place in the standings receive a bye to the quarterfinal round. In the first round, the fifth and twelfth seeds, the sixth and eleventh seeds, the seventh and tenth seeds and the eighth and ninth seeds played a Playoff format#Best-of-three playoff, best-of-three series with the winners advancing to the quarterfinals. 2015–16 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season began in October 2015 and ended with the 2016 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey tournament's championship game on April 9, 2016. This was the 69th season in which an NCAA ice hockey championship was held, and the 122nd year overall in which an NCAA school fielded a team. On January 22, 2016, Boston College coach Jerry York became the first NCAA hockey coach to win 1,000 games and only the second coach in the professional or amateur level to achieve 1,000 wins. Jason Kasdorf (born May 18, 1992) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was last contracted with the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL). Max Willman (born February 13, 1995) is an American professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL). Houston Field House
Houston Field House is a multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, New York. Maximilian Cross Véronneau is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with the San Jose Barracuda in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL).
