The 2016 Dollar General Bowl was a postseason college football bowl game that was played at Ladd–Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on December 23, 2016. The 18th edition of the Dollar General Bowl (previously called the GoDaddy Bowl) featured the Ohio Bobcats of the Mid-American Conference versus the Troy Trojans of the Sun Belt Conference. Ladd–Peebles Stadium
Ladd–Peebles Stadium (formerly Ernest F. Ladd Memorial Stadium) is a stadium located in Mobile, Alabama. Opened in 1948, it has a seating capacity of 33,471. It is primarily used for American football, and is the home field for the Senior Bowl, the LendingTree Bowl through the 2020 season, and the South Alabama Jaguars football, University of South Alabama Jaguars through the 2019 South Alabama Jaguars football team, 2019 season. After the 2019 season, the Jaguars moved to the new on-campus Hancock Whitney Stadium. The 68 Ventures Bowl is a postseason NCAA-sanctioned Division I FBS college football bowl game that has been played annually in Mobile, Alabama since 1999. William Brandon Silvers (born May 9, 1994) is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played college football at Troy. Personal life Silvers was born to Rae Ann and Jeff Silvers on May 9, 1994, in Pensacola, Florida. His full name is William Brandon Silvers. He has one brother, Chase. The 2016 Troy Trojans football team represented Troy University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by second-year head coach Neal Brown and played their home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama. The Trojans were members of the Sun Belt Conference.
