2016 Cornell Big Red Football Team
The 2016 Cornell Big Red football team represented Cornell University in the 2016 NCAA Division I FCS football season as a member of the Ivy League. They were led by fourth-year head coach David Archer and play their home games at Schoellkopf Field. Cornell finished the season 4–6 overall and 2–5 in Ivy League play to tie for sixth place. Schedule The 2016 schedule consisted of five home and five away games. The Big Red hosted Ivy League foes Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth and Penn, and traveled to Harvard, Brown, and Columbia. David Archer (American Football Coach)
David John Archer (born November 5, 1982) is an American football coach and former player. It is one of the ol ... team. He became the head coach in January 2013. Archer was a three-year starter for the Big Red before graduating in 2005. He spent six years as an assistant coach at his alma mater. He was also an assistant coach at Fairleigh Dickinson–Florham in 2006. Archer has never had a winning season as head coach. In ten years, he has had 8 losing seasons, one break-even season, and zero winning seasons. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium is a 10,221-seat multi-purpose stadium in Hamilton, New York, United States. It is the home of Colgate University's football and men's lacrosse teams. Colgate opened the stadium in 1939, originally as Colgate Athletic Field. Colgate's football teams – then known as the Red Raiders and competing at the highest level of NCAA play – were coached during the stadium's inaugural year by Andy Kerr, who led the team from 1929 to 1946. The stadium adopted the name Andy Kerr Stadium on "Andy Kerr Day" on September 17, 1966, before a crowd of 8,000. Campus Insiders was a college sports website and internet television service. It was owned by a joint venture between IMG College and Silver Chalice. The service was oriented towards live streaming of U.S. college sports, streaming live and replay broadcasts of events from selected conferences that are not picked up for television, as well as other original content. It was based out of studios in Chicago, Illinois in the former Harpo Studios building, alongside sister operation 120 Sports.
