Chang'an Ford 2016 Chinese FA Super Cup (Chinese language, Chinese: 长安福特2016中国足球协会超级杯) was the 14th Chinese FA Super Cup. The match was played at Chongqing Olympic Sports Center on 27 February 2016, contested by 2015 Chinese Super League, Super League winners Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao F.C., Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao and 2015 Chinese FA Cup, FA Cup winners Jiangsu Suning F.C., Jiangsu Suning. The Chinese FA Super Cup (), formerly named Chinese Football Super Cup (), is a pre-season association football, football competition held before the season begins in China PR, China. It is a Chinese football championship contested by the winners of top division of Professional League (former Chinese Jia-A League, now Chinese Super League) and the Chinese FA Cup, FA Cup last season. If both teams are the same, the opponent is the runners-up of league last season. It is the Chinese equivalent to the English FA Community Shield, in which the winners of the Premier League and FA Cup compete for the trophy. José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior (born 25 July 1988), known as Paulinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. Luiz Felipe Scolari (; born 9 November 1948), also known as Felipão ("Big Phil"), is a Brazilian football manager and former player. He is the current manager of Athletico Paranaense. Alan Douglas Borges de Carvalho (born 10 July 1989), simply known as Alan or Ā Lán (), is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Fluminense. Mei Fang (; ; born 14 November 1989) is a former Chinese professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Mei Fang started his football career with Wuhan Optics Valley in 2008 when he was promoted to the first team. Jackson Arley Martínez Valencia (; born 3 October 1986) is a Colombian former professional footballer who played as a striker.
