Super League XXI
The 2016 Super League season, known as the First Utility Super League XXI for sponsor reasons, was the 21st season of the Super League and 122nd season of rugby league in Britain. Twelve teams competed over 23 rounds, including the Magic Weekend which took place at St James' Park (Newcastle upon Tyne), after which the eight highest entered the Super League play-offs for a place in the Super League Grand Final. The four lowest teams then entered the qualifying play-offs, along with the four highest teams from the Championship, to determine which teams will play again in Super League XXII. Wigan Warriors are the current champions after successfully defeating Warrington Wolves 12–6 at Old Trafford. Ben Crooks (born 15 June 1993) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a or er for the Keighley Cougars in the RFL Championship, Betfred Championship. Mike McMeeken (born 10 May 1994) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward for the Catalans Dragons in the Super League and England at international level. He started his career in the Super League with the London Broncos, also playing on loan in League 1 at the London Skolars before joining the Tigers in 2015. Grant William Millington (born 1 November 1986) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer, who plays as a or for the Western Suburbs Red Devils in the Country Rugby League. He previously played for Castleford Tigers ( Heritage № 925) in the Super League and in the NRL for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks between 2008 and 2010, and for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in 2011. Langtree Park
Totally Wicked Stadium is a rugby league stadium in the Peasley Cross area of St. Helens. Known as Langtree Park until 2017, it has a capacity of over 18,000 and is the home ground of St Helens R.F.C. The stadium was granted full planning permission on 20 May 2008. On 11 July 2008 the go-ahead was given without the need for a public enquiry and construction started in 2010. The first rugby league match to be played at the stadium was between St. Helens and Widnes on Friday 20 January 2012. St. Helens won the opening game by 42–24 and they moved in ready for the 2012 Super League season. Liverpool F.C. U18s also play their home games at the stadium. The MKM Stadium (also known as the Hull City Stadium due to UEFA sponsorship regulations) is a multi-purpose facility in the city of Kingston upon Hull, England. The stadium was previously called the KC Stadium, but was renamed the KCOM Stadium as part of a major rebrand by the stadium's sponsor KCOM Group, KCOM, on 4 April 2016.
