2016 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship
The 2016 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship was the 17th staging of the Asian Volleyball Confederation, AVC Club Championships. The tournament was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 23 to 31 August 2016. The champions qualified for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship, 2017 Club World Championship as Asia's representative. Pools composition Teams were seeded in the first two positions of each pool following the Serpentine system according to their final standing of the 2015 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship, 2015 edition. AVC reserved the right to seed the hosts as head of pool A regardless of the final standing of the 2015 edition. All teams not seeded were drawn. But, Turkmenistan later withdrew. Sarmayeh Bank Volleyball Club ( fa, باشگاه والیبال بانک سرمایه , Bâshgâh-e Vâlibâl-e Bânk-e Sarmâye) was an Iranian professional volleyball team based in Tehran, Iran. Wunna Theikdi Stadium ( my, ဝဏ္ဏသိဒ္ဒိ အားကစားကွင်း) is a multi-use stadium in Naypyidaw, Myanmar. It can seat 30,000 spectators. The stadium hosted the 2013 Southeast Asian Games and 2014 ASEAN Para Games opening and closing ceremonies. In addition, it hosted the events of 2015 National Sports Festival and 2018 ASEAN University Games. Currently, it is hosting state and region sports competitions.
