2016 AFC Solidarity Cup
The 2016 AFC Solidarity Cup was the inaugural edition of the AFC Solidarity Cup, an international football tournament. It took place between 2–15 November 2016 in Malaysia. The tournament was created by the Asian Football Confederation as a replacement for the AFC Challenge Cup which was played for the last time in 2014. A total of nine teams were eligible to compete in this edition of the tournament. Six teams were eligible to compete after losing in the first round of the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification competition, while three teams were eligible to compete after losing in the play-off round 2 of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification competition. After Pakistan and Bangladesh withdrew, only seven teams competed in the tournament. Kuching
Kuching (), officially the City of Kuching, is the capital and the most populous city in the States and federal territories of Malaysia, state of Sarawak in Malaysia. It is also the capital of Kuching Division. Sarawak State Stadium
State of Sarawak Stadium (''Stadium Negeri Sarawak'' in Malay) is a multi-purpose stadium in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 26,000 people and opened in 1989, was the largest stadium in Malaysia. The stadium hosted Sukma Games in 1990, which Sarawak won. State Stadium is located in an area of 5 hectares in Petra Jaya. Officially opened on 27 August 1983. 3 stages of construction experience. Adi bin Said (born 15 October 1990) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Brunei Super League club Kasuka FC and the Brunei national football team. Club career Early career and rise at DPMM FC Adi began his footballing career with Manggis United, coached by former Brunei forward Majidi Ghani. Shah Razen Said
Mohammad Shah Razen bin Said (born 14 December 1985) is a Bruneian international footballer who plays as a striker for DPMM FC and the Brunei national team. He is the current record goalscorer for Brunei with eight goals. Shah Razen is included in the International Federation of Football History & Statistics' all-time Brunei Men's Dream Team first eleven that was announced in August 2021. Club career Besides DPMM, Shah Razen has also played for AH United, non-league Viva Rangers, Wijaya FC, as well as a short trial with Indian club Sporting Clube de Goa. Azwan Ali Rahman
Muhammad Azwan bin Ali Rahman (bron 11 January 1992) is a Bruneian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for DPMM FC and the Brunei national team. He is his club's current captain. Club career A product of Brunei's Sports School, Azwan first represented Jerudong FC in the Brunei Premier League at the age of 15. He was transferred to a national youth team (formerly the under-16s) playing in the Brunei Premier League II in 2011 and became their captain. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. Goal difference, goal differential or points difference is a form of tiebreaker used to rank sport teams which finish on equal points in a league competition. Either "goal difference" or "points difference" is used, depending on whether matches are scored by goals (as in ice hockey and association football) or by points (as in rugby union and basketball). Three points for a win is a standard used in many sports leagues and group tournaments, especially in association football, in which three points are awarded to the team winning a match, with no points awarded to the losing team.
