2015–16 Oberliga
The 2015–16 season of the Oberliga was the eighth season of the Oberligas at tier five of the German football league system and the 42nd season overall since reintroduction of the Oberligas in 1974. The regular season started on 17 July 2015 and finished on 12 June 2016. The Oberliga is organised in fourteen regional divisions with the league champions promoted to the level above, the Regionalligas while the relegated teams drop down to the Verbandsligas and Landesligas. Overview In the 2015–16 season 241 clubs compete in the Oberligas, two less than in the previous season. 2014–15 Oberliga
The 2014–15 season of the Oberliga was the seventh season of the Oberligas at tier five of the German football league system and the 41st season overall since reintroduction of the Oberligas in 1974. The regular season started in July 2014 and finished on 14 June 2015, followed by relegation and promotion play-offs. The Oberliga is organised in fourteen regional divisions with the league champions promoted to the level above, the Regionalligas while the relegated teams drop down to the Verbandsligas and Landesligas. Overview In the 2014–15 season 243 clubs compete in the Oberligas, two less than in the previous season. Of the fourteen league champions twelve were promoted to the Regionalliga while one, the Oberliga Hamburg champions TuS Dassendorf, declined promotion for the second year running. FSV Union Fürstenwalde
FSV Union Fürstenwalde is a German football club from Fürstenwalde/Spree, currently playing in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord (V). As with many East German clubs at the time, the club has a complicated history of formations, re-formations, ownership changes, legal changes, name-changes and mergers; however the lineage can be traced back as far back as 1919, with the current incarnation formed in 2002. SV Lurup is a German association football club from the city of Hamburg in the federal state of the same name. __TOC__ History The club was founded in 1923 as ''Turn- und Sportverein Lurup'' in the former town Lurup and later that same year merged with ''FSV 1920 Schenefeld'' to form ''TSV Lurup-Schenefeld'' in a union that lasted until 1930 when the two clubs went their separate ways. Viktoria Aschaffenburg
SV Viktoria 01 Aschaffenburg is a German football club based in Aschaffenburg, Bavaria. Even though Aschaffenburg is located in Bavaria, Viktoria Aschaffenburg historically played its football in the Hessenliga (V) and the associated Hessian leagues, rather than the Bayernliga (V), against clubs from closer, neighbouring cities. This also reflects in part the history of the region, not traditionally part of Bavaria. The nearby Bavarian club FC Bayern Alzenau has also played in the Hessenliga for the same reasons. FC Augsburg II
FC Augsburg II is the reserve team of the German association football club FC Augsburg from the city of Augsburg, Bavaria, whose first team play in the Bundesliga. The team, which has never played above the fourth tier, had its greatest success in 1977, when it won the local Schwaben Cup, qualified for the German Cup and reached the third round of the competition, going out to Hertha BSC Berlin. The side plays as an under-23 team. History The club's reserve side can trace its roots back to the pre-merger BC Augsburg Amateure, which had its greatest success when it played for a season in the southern division of the Amateurliga Bayern in 1962–63. TSV 1860 Rosenheim is a German association sport club from the town of Rosenheim, Bavaria. The origins of the club are in the establishment of the gymnastics club and community fire brigade ''Freiwillige Turnerfeuerwehr Rosenheim'' on 20 October 1860. SpVgg Bayern Hof is a German association football club based in Hof, Bavaria. The club was founded on 1 June 1910 as ''Ballspielclub Hof'', but within a year was renamed ''Britannia Hof''. In 1913, they merged with ''FC Roland Hof'' and ''FC Phoenix Hof'' to become ''FC Bayern Hof''. History ''FC Bayern Hof'' was a decent, but unremarkable, local side through its early decades. FC Nöttingen is a German association football club from the Nöttingen district of Remchingen, Baden-Württemberg. The SV Eichede is a German association football club from the Eichede suburb of Steinburg, Schleswig-Holstein. The club's greatest success has been to earn promotion to the tier four Regionalliga Nord in 2013 and again in 2016.
