The 2015–16 season of the NOFV-Oberliga was the eighth season of the league at tier five (V) of the German football league system and the 26th overall. The league is split in a northern and southern division. FSV Union Fürstenwalde
FSV Union Fürstenwalde is a German football club from Fürstenwalde/Spree, currently playing in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord (V). As with many East German clubs at the time, the club has a complicated history of formations, re-formations, ownership changes, legal changes, name-changes and mergers; however the lineage can be traced back as far back as 1919, with the current incarnation formed in 2002. Fürstenwalde, formed in 1919 as a section of Berlin-based SC Union 06 Oberschöneweide and adopted the name SC Union Fürstenwalde in 1927 after separating from the latter club. German Reserve Football Teams
German reserve football teams compete at all levels of league football within the German football league system apart from the top two divisions, the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga. The highest league these teams can currently enter is the 3. Liga, set at the third tier of the league system. Until 2005, reserve teams of professional sides carried the title Amateure behind the club name to distinguish between the professional and reserve team of a club while all other reserve teams carried the Roman numeral II behind the club name as a distinction. Since 2005 all reserve teams carry the Roman numeral, regardless of the status of the first team. Any additional reserve teams carry the following Roman numeral behind the club's name. From 1974 to 2008 reserve teams were permitted to compete in the DFB-Pokal, the premier German Cup competition. 2016–17 Regionalliga
The 2016–17 Regionalliga was the ninth season of the Regionalliga, the fifth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Regionalliga Nord 18 teams from the states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein competed in the fifth season of the reformed Regionalliga Nord; 15 teams were retained from last season and 3 were promoted from the Oberliga, namely 2015–16 Niedersachsenliga champions Lupo Martini Wolfsburg and promotion round winners SV Eichede, 2015–16 Schleswig-Holstein-Liga champions, and 1. FC Strausberg, simply known as Strausberg or FCS, is a German association football club based in Strausberg, the largest city in Märkisch-Oderland, Brandenburg. Malchower SV is a Football in Germany, German association football club based in Malchow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, currently playing in the NOFV-Oberliga Nord. The club was established on 26 July 1990, but traces its tradition back to the city's earliest sides.
