The 2015–16 season was the 130th in the history of Luton Town Football Club and the club's 90th season in the Football League. Following their eighth-place finish the previous year, Luton were contesting the season in League Two. Luton Town F
Luton () is a town and unitary authority with borough status, in Bedfordshire, England. At the 2011 census, the Luton built-up area subdivision had a population of 211,228 and its built-up area, including the adjacent towns of Dunstable and Houghton Regis, had a population of 258,018. It is the most populous town in the county, from the County Towns of Hertford, from Bedford and from London. The town is situated on the River Lea, about north-north-west of London. The town's foundation dates to the sixth century as a Saxon outpost on the River Lea, from which Luton derives its name. 2015–16 Football League Trophy
The 2015–16 Football League Trophy was the 32nd season in the history of Football League Trophy, the competition, a knock-out tournament for Football in England, English football clubs in Football League One, League One and Football League Two, League Two, the third and fourth tiers of the English football. Barnsley F.C., Barnsley of League One won the competition, defeating Oxford United F.C., Oxford United of League Two 3–2 in 2016 Football League Trophy Final, the final. Premier League
The Premier League (legal name: The Football Association Premier League Limited) is the highest level of the men's English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). Accrington is a town in the Hyndburn borough of Lancashire, England. It lies about east of Blackburn, west of Burnley, east of Preston, north of Manchester and is situated on the culverted River Hyndburn. The English Football League One (often referred to as League One for short or Sky Bet League One for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League One from 2004 until 2016) is the second-highest division of the English Football League and the third tier overall in the entire English football league system. Mark Cullen (English Footballer)
Mark Cullen (born 21 April 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for club AFC Fylde. A player with excellent finishing skills, he has scored in each of the top five divisions of the English football league system. A former Newcastle United youth-team player, he went on to graduate from the Hull City Academy and make his Premier League debut for the club in the 2009–10 season. He spent the next three seasons on loan at Bradford City, Bury and Stockport County, before taking a free transfer move to Luton Town in May 2013. Cameron McGeehan
Cameron Alexander McGeehan (born 6 April 1995) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Northampton Town. Born in England, he also plays for the Northern Ireland national team. McGeehan began his youth career at Fulham before joining Chelsea and later Norwich City. He captained Norwich to victory in the 2012–13 FA Youth Cup, scoring in both legs of the final against his former club Chelsea.
