2015–16 Liga Nacional De Básquet Season
The 2015–16 Liga Nacional de Básquet season was the 32nd season of the top professional basketball league in Argentina. The regular season started on 22 September 2015 and the defending champions were Club Atlético Quimsa. The finals were contested between San Lorenzo and La Unión, with San Lorenzo winning their first league title on 23 June 2016. Promotions and relegations Torneo Nacional de Ascenso Champions from the previous season Instituto de Córdoba and runners-up 9 de Julio de Río Tercero were promoted. The latter, however, merged with newly reformed San Lorenzo, one of the founding teams of the original League, marking this their official return to the top tier. Another team that made its return was Ferro Carril Oeste, one of the powerhouses of the 80s and the inaugural Champion. The regular season started on 29 September 2014 and the defending champions were Peñarol. Quimsa won their first title, defeating Gimnasia Indalo in the finals. Promotions and relegations Torneo Nacional de Ascenso Champions from the previous season San Martín de Corrientes and runners-up Ciclista Juninense were promoted. Franco Balbi
Franco Nicolás Balbi (born August 21, 1989), is an Argentinian professional basketball player who currently plays with Boca Juniors in the Liga Nacional de Básquet. At a height of 6'2" (1.88 m) tall, he plays at the point guard position. Professional career Balbi started playing youth club basketball with Club Villa Belgrano, in the city of Junín, when he was 5. He also played with Los Indios de Junín at the youth level, before arriving at Ciclista Juninense, where he made his debut in Argentina's top-level league, the Liga Nacional de Básquet (LNB), on January 14, 2007, against Regatas Corrientes.
