The Kuwait Premier League (), known as STC Premier League due to sponsorship reasons, is the top division of the Kuwait football pyramid system. Formed in 1961, Al-Arabi, Qadsia and Kuwait both hold the best record in the competition, having won 17 times. History The Kuwaiti league officially began in the 1961/62 season, after playing unofficially for eight years (played with group of clubs: "Ahli - Al Jazeera - Arabism - Gulf - Solidarity - Al-Qubali, Al-Nahda, Al-Sharqai, Al-Merqab, Al-Mawalim and Al-Taawon). Burgan SC
Burgan Sports Club ( ar, نادي برقان الرياضي ) is a professional sports club best known for its football team. Based in Al Farwaniyah, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Division One. History 2014–15 inaugural season Burgan SC is set to compete in pre-season matches and tournaments inside Kuwait due to it just being added to the football league and would play a number of teams for Kuwait to get ready for the league. It won two unofficial silverware during Ramadan of 2014. Their first match ended in a 5–0 loss to Al-Naser SC in their reserve league match. Their first league goal came against Al-Arabi SC in a 4–1 loss scored by Marzouq Zaki. Kazma Sporting Club ( ar, نادي كاظمة الرياضي) is a Kuwaiti professional association football club. Founded in 1964, the club competes in the Kuwaiti Premier League. Al Yarmouk Kuwait
Al-Yarmouk is a Kuwaiti professional sports club located in the district of Mishref. It was established on 28 February 1965 in Failaka Island and was the only Kuwaiti club to have been established outside mainland Kuwait at that time. The club was relocated to Kuwait after the 1990–1991 Gulf War, which resulted in the displacement of many inhabitants belonging to Failaka's island settlements. Therefore, due to inadequate facilities after the liberation of Kuwait, it was inevitable that the team had to move to a better and more sustainable location. Other reason for the relocation was due to insufficient means of transportation to Failaka Island for away matches during the regular season.
