2015–16 Kentucky Wildcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team will represent University of Kentucky during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by ninth year head coach Matthew Mitchell, play their home games at the Memorial Coliseum with two games at Rupp Arena and were members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 25–8, 10–6 in SEC play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the SEC women's tournament where they lost to South Carolina. They received an at-large to the NCAA women's tournament where they defeated UNC Asheville and Oklahoma in the first and second rounds before getting upset by Washington the sweet sixteen. Matthew Mitchell (basketball Coach)
Matthew LaMont Mitchell (born December 16, 1970) is an American former college basketball coach, who was most recently head coach for University of Kentucky women's basketball. On November 12, 2020, Mitchell announced his retirement from coaching. Coaching Mitchell became the head coach of UK on April 23, 2007, succeeding former UK coach Mickie DeMoss. Prior to becoming the coach at Kentucky, Mitchell spent two years as the head coach at Morehead State. Mitchell started his coaching career as graduate assistant under Pat Summitt at Tennessee, and he also spent time as an assistant coach at Florida and Kentucky before becoming a head coach. Following the 2009–10 season, Mitchell was named the SEC Coach of the Year. In addition to Mitchell's recognition, Victoria Dunlap was named the SEC Player of the Year and A'dia Mathies was named the SEC Freshman of the Year. Reynoldsburg High School (RHS) is a public high school located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, United States, and the only high school in the Reynoldsburg City School District. The school is divided into five academies housed at two separate campuses, each of which has its own academy leaders and administrative team. Sparkman High School
Sparkman High School is a public high school in Harvest, Alabama, United States in the Madison County Schools district. The school was named after senator and former vice presidential nominee John Jackson Sparkman. Sparkman is one of the largest high schools in northern Alabama and serves students in grades 10- 12.
