2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional
The 2015–16 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 50th Honduran Liga Nacional edition, since its establishment in 1965. For this season, the system format remained the same as the previous season. The tournament began on 31 July 2015 and ended on 22 May 2016. 2015–16 teams A total of 10 teams will contest the tournament, including 9 sides from the 2014–15 season plus Juticalpa F.C., promoted from the 2014–15 Liga de Ascenso. Managerial changes Apertura The Apertura tournament is the first half of the 2015–16 season. It began on 1 August with a 1–0 C.D. Victoria's win over Platense F.C. at Estadio Nilmo Edwards. Juticalpa F.C.'s first ever Liga Nacional game occurred on 9 August with great success for the debs as they managed to beat Real C.D. España with a 2–0 score. Liga Nacional De Fútbol Profesional De Honduras
Liga Betcris de Honduras (''Honduran National Professional Football League'') is the highest division of football in Honduras. The league season is divided into Opening (autumn) and Closing (spring). One team is relegated to the Liga de Ascenso (the team with fewest points in Opening and Closing) and one team is promoted from Liga de Ascenso. The top four clubs participate in play-offs to decide the champion. The winners of the Opening and Closing competitions participate in the CONCACAF Champions League. Ramón Maradiaga
Ramón Enrique Maradiaga Chávez (born 30 October 1954) is a retired Honduran football player and manager. Club career Nicknamed ''Primitivo'', Maradiaga has played as a midfielder amongst others for F.C. Motagua as well as Salvadoran giants Águila and Alianza. He also had half a season in Europe, playing 15 games in the Spanish Segunda División for Tenerife in 1984. He scored 23 goals in total for Motagua, making him one of the most prolific midfielders in the club's history. He finished his career at Tela Timsa after the 1991–1992 season and took the reins at the club the next season, also changing their name to Petrotela. International career A stocky defensive midfielder, Maradiaga represented Honduras at the 1977 FIFA World Youth Championship. Emilio Umanzor
Eugenio Emilio Umanzor Andino (born 19 October 1973) is a Honduran football coach. Club career Umanzor played for hometown side Social Sol in the Honduran second division. Managerial career Umanzor brought Real Juventud to the Honduran top division winning two consecutive championships, 2007-08 Apertura and 2007-08 Clausura but was replaced by Edwin Pavón in October 2008 after he left the club citing they owed him wages. He has been coach of the Honduras U-17 national football team and Honduras U-20 national football team. He is the only coach to qualify two world cups in the same year.
