The 2015 World RX of France was the ninth round of the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship season, second season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Circuit De Lohéac
The Circuit de Lohéac is a racing circuit in Lohéac, Ille-et-Vilaine. The circuit is the oldest Rallycross circuit in France. Since 1976, it has a round of the French Rallycross Championship annually. The circuit also hosts the French round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship since the inauguration of the championship in 2014. History This circuit was created by Michel Hommell, leader and founder of the Michel Hommell Group specializing in automotive magazines and between 1990 and 2003, would act as a car manufacturer. It is on this circuit that the inaugural French Rallycross Championship was raced, with the race taking place on September 5, 1976. With over 80,000 spectators attending the 2018 edition, the French round of World Rallycross became the third most viewed auto racing event in France, after 24 Hours of Le Mans and French Grand Prix. Olsbergs MSE, which also competes under the title OMSE, is an auto racing team founded by Swedish former rally champion Andréas Eriksson as Motorsport Evolution (MSE) in 2005. In 2008 it ran under the name ''Ford Team RS Europe'', while in 2009 Swedish electro-hydraulic control systems manufacturer Olsbergs bought 50% of the team and it was renamed Olsbergs MSE. Andreas Bakkerud
Andreas Bakkerud (born 10 October 1991) is a rallycross driver from Bergen, Norway. He has competed in the FIA Rallycross Supercar class since 2013 in both Euro RX and World RX, and Nitro Rallycross since 2021. He became European Champion in 2021. Biography Bakkerud won the FIA European Rallycross Championship in the Super1600 category twice, in 2011 and 2012. He entered the FIA European Rallycross Supercar class in 2013 with a private Citroën DS3, finishing fourth with two wins. In 2014 he joined the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar class, driving a Ford-supported Olsbergs MSE Fiesta. He got two wins and three second-place finishes, and placed fifth in the overall standings. In 2015 he scored a win, three podiums and eight top 5s, which put him fourth in the Supercar drivers championship. The team has been competing in rallycross since its creation, and has recently been backed by Volkswagen. Toomas "Topi" Heikkinen (born 27 March 1991) is a rallycross and ice-racing driver from Finland. He won the Finnish Rallycross Championship in 2010 and the Global Rallycross Championship in 2013. He currently competes in the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar category, driving for EKS racing team. Heikkinen began his racing career in karting, later moving up to single-seater formula.
