2015 Waratah Cup
The 2015 Waratah Cup was the 13th season of Football NSW's knockout competition, and which ran from 3 June to 5 July. The Preliminary rounds are now a part of the 2015 FFA Cup competition. The 5 winners from the FFA Cup preliminary Seventh Round qualified both for the Waratah Cup and for the 2015 FFA Cup Round of 32. The winners were Sydney United 58, their 5th title (including predecessor knockout cup competitions). Preliminary rounds New South Wales clubs, other than Northern NSW and A-League clubs, participated in the 2015 FFA Cup via the preliminary rounds. The competition was for all Senior Men's teams of the National Premier Leagues NSW, NPL Division 2, State League Division 1, State League Division 2, as well as Association teams which applied to participate. Blacktown City FC
Blacktown City Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football club based in Blacktown, New South Wales. Founded in 1953, the club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues NSW. Blacktown City's home ground is Blacktown City Sports Centre in the suburb of Seven Hills. History The club was formed in 1953 as Toongabbie Soccer Club and changed their name to Blacktown City in 1979. The club competed in the National Soccer League in 1980, 1981, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1989 and 1990. Since then they have competed in the highest level in New South Wales, the NSW Premier League, where they have finished Premiers (1st in the League) in 2001, 2002/03, 2004/05, 2006 and 2008. NSW State League Division 1
The NSW League Two Men is an Australian semi-professional association football league comprising teams from New South Wales. The league sits at Level 3 on the New South Wales league system (Level 4 of the overall Australian soccer league system, Australian league system). The competition is administered by Football NSW, the governing body of the sport in the southern region of the state (the northern region governed by Northern NSW Football). At the conclusion of the 2015 season it was announced that the State League 1 would become the NPL3 and in 2022 seasons onwards, the league name change again from National Premier Leagues NSW 3 to NSW League Two. Valentine Sports Park
Valentine Sports Park is an Australian football stadium in Glenwood, a suburb of Sydney. It is the home of Football NSW. The venue received a $22 million transformation and was officially re-opened in March 2015. The impressive facility features five full-sized football fields all aligned to FIFA specifications, including three natural grass fields and two synthetic fields, all of which have lighting, six player change rooms and a multi-purpose indoor sports centre featuring an international full-sized futsal court. The main field features grandstand seating for 500 spectators and a grass hill surrounding the pitch, allowing for an estimated capacity of around 4,000. 200 lux lighting allows for semi-professional standards. Travis Major
Travis Paul Major (born 18 February 1990) is an Australian professional footballer player. He plays as a forward for National Premier Leagues NSW club Blacktown City. Career On 3 January 2015, he signed for A-League side Central Coast Mariners. He scored his first and only goal in a 5–1 defeat to Sydney FC. Major spent the 2016–17 season with Hong Kong club Pegasus. He was released by the club following the season. In August 2017, Major re-joined Pegasus during their pre-season training camp in Thailand. After almost three years at the club, Major left again on 22 April 2019 because of family reasons. Marko Jesic (born 7 August 1989 in Fairfield, New South Wales) is an Australian football player of Serbian descent who plays for Marconi Stallions FC. Club career Jesic grew up on the streets of Bossley Park in Sydney's south west and was promoted to the Newcastle Jets A-League squad after playing in the youth league. Belmore Sports Ground
Belmore Sports Ground, formerly known as Belmore Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmore, New South Wales, Australia. The park covers and from 1951 has contained the Belmore Bowling Recreation Club green. It is close to Belmore railway station.
