2015 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Baseball Team
The 2015 Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball team will represent Wake Forest University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Demon Deacons will play their home games at Gene Hooks Field at Wake Forest Baseball Park as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They will be led by head coach Tom Walter, in his sixth season at Wake Forest. Previous season In 2014, the Demon Deacons finished the season 4th in the ACC's Atlantic Division with a record of 30–26, 15–15 in conference play. They qualified for the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament, and were eliminated in the play-in round. They failed to qualify for the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Tom Walter
Tom Walter is an American college baseball coach. He has been the head coach of Wake Forest Demon Deacons baseball, Wake Forest since the start of the 2010 NCAA Division I baseball season, 2010 season. Before coming to Wake Forest, Walter held head coaching positions at George Washington Colonials baseball, George Washington from 1997–2004 and New Orleans Privateers baseball, New Orleans from 2005–2009. He was an assistant at George Washington from 1992–1994. Walter's career head coaching record, as of the end of the 2014 season, is 560–473. Outside NCAA baseball, Walter served as the assistant general manager of the Minor league baseball, minor league Greensboro Bats from 1995–1996. The 2015 Florida State Seminoles baseball team represented Florida State University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Seminoles played their home games at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Elon () is a town in Alamance County, North Carolina, United States. It is part of the Burlington metropolitan statistical area. The population as of the 2020 census was 11,324. The town of Elon is home to Elon University. Elon began in 1881 as a North Carolina Railroad depot in between the stations of Goldsboro and Charlotte, called "Mill Point” because it was envisioned to be a shipping point for area cotton mills. Greensboro (; formerly Greensborough) is a city in and the county seat of Guilford County, North Carolina, United States. Brooks Field is a stadium located on the campus of the University of North Carolina Wilmington in Wilmington, North Carolina. 2015 VCU Rams Baseball Team
The 2015 VCU Rams baseball team was the program's 45th season fielding a varsity baseball program, and their third season the Atlantic 10 Conference. Led by Shawn Stiffler for his third season, the Rams had their most successful baseball season in program history. The Rams advanced to the NCAA Super Regional for the first time ever, and won their first ever Atlantic 10 Conference baseball tournament.
