2015 V8 Supercars Dunlop Series
The 2015 V8 Supercars Dunlop Series was an Australian motor racing competition for V8 Supercars, staged as support series to the International V8 Supercars Championship. It was the sixteenth annual V8 Supercar Development Series and the fourth to be contested under the "Dunlop Series" name. The series was won by Cameron Waters driving a Ford FG Falcon. Teams and drivers The following teams and drivers contested the 2015 V8 Supercars Dunlop Series: The 2015 V8 Supercars Dunlop Series featured a new race number allocation system. Each year since the series began in 2000, the race number pool was shared with the main V8 Supercars Championship, meaning that numbers used in that series could not be used in the Dunlop Series. Dunlop V8 Supercar Series
The Dunlop Super2 Series (formerly known as Dunlop Series, Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series, HPDC V8 Supercars Series, Konica Minolta V8 Supercars Series and Konica V8 Supercars/Lites Series) is an Australian touring car racing competition, specifically the second tier series for Supercars competitors. Competing vehicles are older than those utilised in the Supercars Championship series and are usually run by smaller teams with lower budgets. The series is a critical stepping stone in driver development, the pathway to the Repco Supercars Championship and a place where young drivers can hone their skills and showcase their talent in front of the championship teams. Kurt Kostecki
Kurt Kostecki (born 4 July 1998) is an Australian racing driver currently competing in the Dunlop Super2 Series in the No. 55 Holden VF Commodore for Kostecki Brothers Racing. He is also co-driving in the Pirtek Enduro Cup alongside Jake Kostecki in the No. 56 Ford Mustang GT for Tickford Racing. Biography Australia Super2 Series In December 2014, Kostecki became one of the youngest people to drive a V8 Supercar when, at the age of 16, he debuted in the Dunlop Series support race for the Sydney 500 for MW Motorsport. Failing to finish his first race and finishing 19th in the second, he was picked up by RSport. His season lasted four rounds, but with a best result of 14th he stepped down from the drive to focus on school studies and was replaced with privateer Phil Woodbury. He formerly competed in the Dunlop V8 Supercar Series and raced in the 2015 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with his family team, Novocastrian Motorsport. Aaren Russell (born 22 August 1991) is an Australian motor-racing driver in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Career history Junior formulae In 2008 and 2009, Russell competed in the NSW Formula Vee championship, a stepping stone taken by several current main series V8 Supercars drivers. After placing 8th in his 2008 rookie season and 2nd in 2009, the Development V8 Supercar Series, the second tier of V8 Supercars racing, became his next target. Paul Morris Motorsport, also known as its business name of Nemo Racing, is an Australian motor racing team that competed in V8 Supercars between 2000 and 2012. Andrew Jones (born 24 June 1980) is an Australian racing driver who previously competed in the Supercars Championship and Dunlop Super2 Series, driving with family-owned team Brad Jones Racing for majority of his career. Jones has had success in a number of forms of motorsport in Australia.
