2015 Tour De San Luis
The 2015 Tour de San Luis was the 9th edition of the Tour de San Luis stage race. It was part of the 2015 UCI America Tour, and took place in Argentina between 18 and 25 January 2015. The race was won by Daniel Díaz of the squad, which displayed a dominant performance by winning stages 2, 4 and 6, all of the top mountain finish stages. Another notable performance came from Fernando Gaviria, who won two sprint stages ahead of former world champion Mark Cavendish. Teams 26 teams were selected to take part in the event. 2015 UCI America Tour
The 2015 UCI America Tour was the eleventh season for the UCI America Tour. The season began on 9 January 2015 with the Vuelta al Táchira and ended on 25 December 2015 with the Vuelta a Costa Rica. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI America Tour cycling jersey. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Adriano Malori
Adriano Malori (born 28 January 1988) is an Italian former road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2010 and 2017 for the and squads. Career Malori was the ''lanterne rouge'' of the 2010 Tour de France, finishing almost four and a half hours behind winner Andy Schleck (). Having ridden for the squad since August 2009, Malori left the team at the end of the 2013 season to join the . He won the final time trial of the 2014 Vuelta a España. On 23 January 2016, at the Tour de San Luis, Malori suffered a severe crash as he was leading the peloton. His front wheel was caught in a crack on the road and he flew over his bike, crashing head-first. He was put in an induced coma. Three days later, he was moved to a special clinic in Buenos Aires. Individual Time Trial
An individual time trial (ITT) is a road bicycle race in which cyclists race alone against the clock (in French: ''contre la montre'' – literally "against the watch", in Italian: ''tappa a cronometro'' "stopwatch stage"). There are also track-based time trials where riders compete in velodromes, and team time trials (TTT). ITTs are also referred to as "the race of truth", as winning depends only on each rider's strength and endurance, and not on help provided by teammates and others riding ahead and creating a slipstream.
