2015 Stanford Cardinal Men's Soccer Team
The 2015 Stanford Cardinal men's soccer team represented Stanford University during the 2015 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the 43rd season of the university fielding a program. Background and preseason Roster changes During the 2015 offseason, Stanford's junior forward, Jordan Morris was capped again by the United States men's national soccer team for an April 15, 2015 friendly against the team's regional rivals, Mexico. Morris scored in the match, becoming the first collegiate soccer player since 1985 to score in a U.S. match. The last time this had occurred was John Kerr, Jr. (while playing for Duke) who scored in a 1985 CONCACAF Championship match against Guatemala on May 26, 1985. Jeremy Gunn
Jeremy Gunn is an English retired association football midfielder who is the head men's soccer coach at Stanford University. He played professionally in the USISL. Player Gunn played in both the Grimsby Town F.C. and Scunthorpe United F.C. youth systems in his native England before coming to the United States. He attended Cal State Bakersfield where he was a 1992 First Team NCAA Division II All American soccer player. In 1993, he joined the Chico Rooks of the USISL. In 1998, he moved to the Nashville Metros. On 29 May 1998, the Metros traded Gunn to the Charleston Battery for John Jones and a 1999 draft pick. Seattle Sounders FC
Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS). The club was established on November 13, 2007, and began play in 2009 as an MLS expansion team. The Sounders are a phoenix club, carrying the same name as the original Sounders franchise that competed in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1974 to 1983. Brian Nana-Sinkam
Brian Nana-Sinkam (born December 31, 1994) is an American soccer player who played for Seattle Sounders FC 2 in the USL. Career Nana-Sinkam spent his youth career with PA Classics from 2009 to 2013 before signing a letter of intent to play college soccer at Stanford University. He made a total of 71 appearances for the Cardinal and finished his career with one goal and two assists. He also played in the Premier Development League for Burlingame Dragons FC. Tomas Hilliard-Arce
Tomas Andres Hilliard-Arce (born November 22, 1995) is an American former soccer player. Career Youth and college Hilliard-Arce was born in Stamford, Connecticut, but grew up in the Charlotte suburb of Matthews, North Carolina. In high school, he played club soccer for Charlotte Soccer Academy in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. During his freshman and sophomore years, Hilliard-Arce played high school soccer with Providence Day School. Brandon Vincent (born May 1, 1994) is a former American professional soccer player who played as a defender for the Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer. Foster Langsdorf (born December 14, 1995) is an American former professional soccer player. After a very successful collegiate career at Stanford, he played for several teams over the course of five seasons. Most of is appearances were for Portland Timbers 2; he made a total of four appearances for Portland Timbers and Minnesota United of Major League Soccer. Andrew Epstein
Andrew Epstein (born January 14, 1996) is an American former college soccer player who last played for Stanford University. Epstein won the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament Most Outstanding Player Defensive MVP Award when the program won the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship Game. He majored in Electrical Engineering, and was known for his strong efforts on group projects. Santa Clara Broncos Men's Soccer
The Santa Clara Broncos men's soccer program represents Santa Clara University in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. Founded in 1967, the Broncos compete in the West Coast Conference. The Broncos are coached by Cameron Rast, who has coached the program since 2002.
