2015 Skate Canada Autumn Classic
The 2015 Autumn Classic International was a senior international figure skating competition in the 2015–16 season. The second edition of the annual event was held on 12–15 October 2015 in Barrie, Canada. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing on the senior level, and in those of singles on the junior level. 2015–16 Figure Skating Season
The 2015–16 figure skating season began on July 1, 2015, and ended on June 30, 2016. Elite skaters began the season competing on the Grand Prix series or Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final, and the ISU Challenger Series. Short Program (figure Skating)
The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. Haruka Imai
is a Japanese former figure skater. She has won nine senior international medals and competed at three Four Continents Championships, placing as high as fourth. She is the 2008 Japanese Junior national champion. Career Imai began skating at age 9. In the 2008–09 season, Imai began competing on the Junior Grand Prix series. She won her JGP event in Belarus and went on to win the Japanese Junior title. She was 16th at the 2009 World Junior Championships. In 2009, Imai won bronze at her sole JGP event, in Hungary. She placed 6th on the senior level at the Japan Championships and was assigned to the 2010 Four Continents Championships, where she placed 5th. Francisco Javier Raya Buenache (born 20 April 1991) is a Spanish figure skater. He is the 2011 Spanish Figure Skating Championships, Spanish national senior champion and has competed in the free skate at eight ISU Figure Skating Championships, ISU Championships. Personal life Francisco Javier Raya Buenache was born on 20 April 1991 in Madrid. He studied ballet from the age of six until he was 17. He is studying audiovisual communication at the Complutense University of Madrid. Raya is openly gay. Career Raya began skating in 1998 at a rink near Madrid's Chamartín railway station. Denis Margalik (born June 3, 1997) is an Argentine former figure skater. He became the first skater representing Argentina to win a medal on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series, obtaining bronze at JGP Bratislava in 2015. He is the first male skater to compete for Argentina in an ISU Championship, appearing at Four Continents in 2015 and at the World Championships in 2016. Maurizio Zandron (born 15 November 1992) is an Italian-born figure skater who currently competes for Austria; he previously represented Italy until 2018. He is the winner of several medals in international competition, including gold at the 2016 Denkova-Staviski Cup, 2018 Bavarian Open, and 2018 Sofia Trophy. Alexander M. Johnson (born May 15, 1990) is a former competitive American figure skater. He is the 2017 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, 2013 International Challenge Cup silver medalist, and 2008 JGP Czech Republic champion.
