2015 Silverstone GP2 And GP3 Series Rounds
The 2015 Silverstone GP2 Series round was a GP2 Series motor race held on July 4 and 5, 2015 at Silverstone Circuit in Silverstone, Britain. It was the fifth round of the 2015 GP2 Series. The race was used to support the 2015 British Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Sergey Sirotkin achieved his maiden pole with a time of 1:39.949, followed by Stoffel Vandoorne and Richie Stanaway. ;Notes :1. – Vișoiu received a three-place grid penalty after he was deemed to have impeded a competitor during the qualifying session. Silverstone Circuit
Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers. The race rotated between Silverstone, Aintree and Brands Hatch from 1955 to 1986, but settled permanently at the Silverstone track in 1987. The circuit also hosts the British round of the MotoGP series. On 30 September 2004, British Racing Drivers' Club president Jackie Stewart announced that the British Grand Prix would not be included on the 2005 provisional race calendar and, if it were, would probably not occur at Silverstone. Status Grand Prix is a former motorsport team registered in Canada. Team history Based in Silverstone the team was formed in 2005 to run the A1 Team Ireland franchise in the new A1 Grand Prix series. The team's founders were former Jordan Grand Prix Executive Mark Gallagher and Dublin businessman Mark Kershaw. Later shareholders included former Formula One driver David Kennedy, John Hynes and Teddy Yip Jr., whose father Teddy Yip owned the Theodore Racing Formula One team. André Negrão (born 17 June 1992, Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian driver in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), world champion in the WEC's superseason 2018/2019 and twice winner in the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2018 and 2019) in the LMP2 class. Team Lazarus is an Italian auto racing team, based in Padova, which is currently competing in the International GT Open and Blancpain GT Endurance Series formerly starting in GP2 Series and Auto GP. Sergio Canamasas Español (born 30 April 1986) is a former racing driver from Spain. Career Formula Three Canamasas made his Formula racing debut in 2007, racing in the Spanish Formula Three Championship for the Cetea Sport team. He took part in the final eight races of the season and was entered into the secondary Copa de España class for the older Dallara F300 chassis. He took a single class podium in the final round in Barcelona to finish eighth in the standings. Jordan King (born 26 February 1994 in Warwick) is a British racing driver from Harbury, Warwickshire who last competed in the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship. He is currently a reserve and development driver for the Mahindra Formula E Team.
