2015 SMP F4 Championship Season
The 2015 SMP F4 Championship season in motorsport, was the inaugural season of the SMP F4 Championship, a racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations. It was a motor racing series for the North European Zone (NEZ) held in Estonia, Finland and Russia. The 2015 season began on 16 May at Ahvenisto in Finland and finished on 3 October at the auto24ring in Estonia, after seven triple header rounds. The series' inaugural champion was Finnish driver Niko Kari in his first season of car racing. Kari took seven overall wins (including a weekend sweep at Moscow Raceway) during the 2015 season, but also added five class victories behind British driver Enaam Ahmed – who was ineligible to score championship points – for a total of twelve during the season. Niko Kari
Niko Kari (born 6 October 1999) is a Finnish racing driver who last raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport. He won his first single-seater championship, the 2015 SMP F4 Championship, in his debut year in car racing and is a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team. Career Karting Kari started karting in 2009 and took part in his first race in 2010. He raced in several national karting series in Finland from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, Kari moved to KF European where he finished fifth overall. Junior formulae Kari moved to single-seaters in 2015, starting in the new SMP F4 Championship. He won seven races and took the title with three races to spare. Kari moved to European Formula 3 Championship in 2016 with Motopark. Loimaa (; historical sv, Loimijoki) is a town and municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Southwest Finland region. Volokolamsk (russian: Волокола́мск) is a town and the administrative center of Volokolamsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, located on the Gorodenka River, not far from its confluence with the Lama River, northwest of Moscow. Population: History It was first mentioned in the Voskresensk Chronicle under the year 1135. Porsche Ring (also known as Audru ringrada, auto24ring, Audru Ring, Pärnu Ring, Sauga Ring and EST-Ring) is a motor racing circuit in Papsaare, near Pärnu, Estonia. It is operated by A2 Racing MTÜ and is the only permanent road circuit in Estonia. The circuit hosts rounds of Baltic Touring Car Championship and other Estonian, Finnish, Baltic and North European Zone events. The FIA WTCR Race of Russia is a round of the World Touring Car Championship, which was held for the first time in 2013 at the Moscow Raceway until 2015 in Volokolamsk, from the capital, Moscow. Enaam Ahmed (born 4 February 2000) is a British- Pakistani racing driver. Ahmed currently competes in the Indy NXT with Cape Motorsports, having previously driven for RP Motorsport in the 2021 season. He previously raced in the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Carlin Motorsport.
