2015 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
The 2015 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was the 70th edition of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad road cycling race, traditionally seen as the beginning of the cobbled classics season along with the Kuurne–Brussels–Kuurne the following day. It was rated as a 1.HC race as part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour. The race took place on 28 February 2015, starting and finishing in the city of Ghent. Ian Stannard (), the defending champion from 2014, won the race in a two-man sprint ahead of Niki Terpstra (). Terpstra's teammate Tom Boonen was third. 2015 UCI Europe Tour
The 2015 UCI Europe Tour was the eleventh season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2015 season began on 29 January 2015 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 25 October 2015 with the Tour of Aegean. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Europe Tour cycling jersey. Tom Van Asbroeck of Belgium is the defending champion of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The 2015 Dubai Tour was a four-stage men's professional road cycling race. It was the second running of the Dubai Tour; it started on 4 February at Dubai International Marine Club and finished on 7 February at the Burj Khalifa. The race was part of the 2015 UCI Asia Tour, and was categorised by the UCI as a 2.HC race. Matt Brammeier
Matthew Martin Brammeier (born 7 June 1985) is a former professional cyclist, who competed professionally between 2006 and 2018 for nine different professional teams. Upon retiring, Brammeier became a coach for British Cycling. He won five titles at the Irish National Cycling Championships, winning the road race four times and the time trial once. Career Born in Liverpool, Brammeier was selected to ride the 2003 UCI Track Cycling World Championships and represented Wales at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Brammeier rode for DFL-Cyclingnews-Litespeed in 2006 and signed for Profel Ziegler Continental Team for the 2007 season. Brammeier was involved in an accident in November 2007, when he was struck by a cement mixing lorry whilst training. 2015 Paris–Roubaix
The 2015 Paris–Roubaix was the 113th edition of the Paris–Roubaix one-day race. It took place on 12 April and was the tenth race of the 2015 UCI World Tour. It was won by John Degenkolb in a sprint ahead of Zdeněk Štybar and Greg Van Avermaet. Degenkolb became only the second German to win the race, after Josef Fischer's victory at the first edition 119 years earlier. Route The 2015 Paris–Roubaix was in length, slightly shorter than the previous editions. Despite the name suggesting that the race started in the French capital, it actually started in Compiègne, north of Paris. After a short, neutralised section, the race began in Clairoix. The 2012 Tour de France was the 99th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's Grand Tours. It started in the Belgian city of Liège on 30 June and finished on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on 22 July. The Tour consisted of 21 stages, including an opening prologue, and covered a total distance of . As well as the prologue, the first two stages took place in Belgium, and one stage finished in Switzerland. Sir Bradley Marc Wiggins, CBE (born 28 April 1980) is a British former professional road and track racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2016. He began his cycling career on the track, but later made the transition to road cycling. Alexander Kristoff (born 5 July 1987) is a Norwegian professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2007 and 2011. The 2012 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad took place on 25 February 2012. It was the 67th edition of the international classic Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. This year's Omloop started and ended at St. Peter's Square in Ghent, Belgium and spanned in the province of East Flanders. The race was the first 1.HC event in the 2012 UCI Europe Tour. The race was won by Belgium's Sep Vanmarcke of the team, taking his first professional victory in a three-man sprint finish in Ghent.
