2015 Oklahoma State Cowboys Baseball Team
The 2015 Oklahoma State Cowboys baseball team will represent Oklahoma State University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cowboys will play their home games at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They will be led by head coach Josh Holliday, in his third season at Oklahoma State. Previous season In 2014, the Cowboys finished the season as champions of the Big 12 with a record of 48–18, 18–6 in conference play. They qualified for the 2014 Big 12 Conference baseball tournament, and were eliminated in the finals. Josh Holliday
Joshua S. Holliday (born September 14, 1976) is an American college baseball coach and former professional player in Minor League Baseball. Currently the head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowboys baseball team, he was hired to this position prior to the 2013 season. In 2014, Holliday was the Big 12 Conference Baseball Coach of the Year as OSU claimed the conference regular season championship. Before becoming head coach of the Cowboys, Holliday played college baseball for OSU while attending as a student. He was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in 1999, for whom he played two seasons in the minor leagues. He then returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach and subsequently coached as an assistant for NC State, Georgia Tech, Arizona State and Vanderbilt. Donnie Walton
Donovan Robert Walton (born May 25, 1994) is an American professional baseball infielder in the San Francisco Giants organization. He played college baseball for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Walton was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 5th round of the 2016 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut for the Mariners in 2019. Amateur career Walton attended Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 36th round of the 2012 MLB draft, but did not sign. Walton attended Oklahoma State University, where he played college baseball for the Cowboys, playing primarily shortstop, along with a number of games at second base. The 2015 TCU Horned Frogs baseball team represented Texas Christian University during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Horned Frogs played their home games at Lupton Stadium as a member of the Big 12 Conference. They were led by head coach Jim Schlossnagle, in his 12th year at TCU. Sloan Park is an American baseball park in Mesa, Arizona, which opened in 2014. The primary operator is the Chicago Cubs and the ballpark serves as their spring training home and is also the home of the Arizona League Cubs of the Arizona League and the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League. The 2015 Oregon State Beavers baseball team represented Oregon State University in the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season.
