2015 Ohio Bobcats Football Team
The 2015 Ohio Bobcats football team represented Ohio University in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by 11th year head coach Frank Solich and played their home games at Peden Stadium. They were members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference. Frank Solich
Frank Thomas Solich (born September 8, 1944) is a former American football coach and former player. He is the former head coach at Ohio University, a position he held from 2005 until 2021. From 1998 to 2003, Solich served as the head coach at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he also played fullback under Bob Devaney in the mid-1960s. Early life and playing career Solich grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Holy Name High School in 1962, where he earned all-state, All-America, and all-scholastic honors. He scored 104 points in high school but was being overlooked due his height, 5'7", and weight, 153 lbs. When he got to his college weigh-in he got his trainer to tape 8 pound weights under his shorts. He now made weight at 162 lbs. BCSN is a regional sports network founded in 2003 (and first went on the air on January 7, 2004) to carry sports broadcasting, which had previously been aired on fellow cable-only station WT05. The Battle of the Bricks is the name given to the Miami–Ohio football rivalry. It is a college football rivalry between the Miami RedHawks and the Ohio Bobcats. InfoCision Stadium–Summa Field is a college American football stadium in Akron, Ohio and the home field of the Akron Zips football team at the University of Akron. New for the 2009 football season, the official ground-breaking ceremony for the stadium was held on April 4, 2008, and it opened on September 12, 2009, for a sold-out game between the Akron Zips and the Morgan State Bears.
