2015 Oceania Sevens Championship
The 2015 Oceania Sevens Championship was the eighth Oceania Sevens. It was held in West Auckland, New Zealand, West Auckland, New Zealand on 14–15 November 2015. As well as determining the regional championship, the tournament was also a qualifying event for the Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Olympics sevens, with the highest-placed eligible team gaining a direct berth to Rio de Janeiro. Australia won the tournament, defeating Tonga 50–0 in the final. The second and third place getters Tonga and Samoa received invitations to the 2016 Men's Rugby Sevens Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, final qualification tournament. Fiji and New Zealand did not participate in the 2015 Oceania Sevens as they had already qualified for the 2016 Olympics. The 2014 Oceania Sevens Championship was the seventh Oceania Sevens in men's rugby sevens. It was held in Noosa, Australia. Fiji national rugby sevens team, Fiji won the Oceania Sevens Championship by defeating New Zealand national rugby sevens team, New Zealand 21-5. The two best-placed non-core Sevens World Series teams qualified through to the 2015 Wellington Sevens (Papua New Guinea) and the 2015 Hong Kong Sevens (Tonga). Final 2016 Men's Olympic Qualification Tournament
The Final 2016 Men's Olympic Qualification Tournament for rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on 18 and 19 June 2016 at Stade Louis II in Fontvieille, Monaco The tournament used a round-robin format. The qualification tournament was won by Spain, as a result, they qualified for the Olympics 2016. Teams Format The teams are drawn into four pools, each containing four teams. *The top two teams in each pool advance to the Cup stage. 2016 Hong Kong Sevens
The 2016 Hong Kong Sevens was the 41st edition of the Hong Kong Sevens tournament, and the seventh tournament of the 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series. The tournament was played on 8–10 April 2016 at Hong Kong Stadium in Hong Kong. Henderson ( mi, Ōpanuku) is a major suburb of West Auckland, in the North Island of New Zealand. It is west of Auckland city centre, and west of the Whau River, a southwestern arm of the Waitematā Harbour. The Trusts Arena
The Trusts Arena is an indoor arena located in Henderson, New Zealand, Henderson, Auckland, New Zealand. It is a multi-purpose stadium that primarily holds sports events and music concerts. The Arena was opened by then Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark on 11 September 2004. It holds 4,901 people.
