2015 New York Jets Season
The 2015 New York Jets season was the franchise's 46th season in the National Football League and the 56th overall. The team improved on their 4–12 record in 2014 under former head Coach Rex Ryan. Under new head coach Todd Bowles, they succeeded in matching their previous season’s win count in just five games, starting 4–1. Prior to the season, the Jets made a number of moves, including, re-acquiring Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie, two cornerbacks who were instrumental in the Jets previous defensive success, and obtaining Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brandon Marshall in trades. The team regressed to 5–5, before going on a five-game winning streak, clinching their first winning season since 2010. The American Football Conference – Eastern Division or AFC East is one of the four divisions of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). There are currently four teams that reside in the division: the Buffalo Bills (based in Orchard Park, New York); the Miami Dolphins (based in Miami Gardens, Florida); the New England Patriots (based in Foxborough, Massachusetts); and the New York Jets (based in East Rutherford, New Jersey). The 2015 Buffalo Bills season was the franchise’s 56th overall season as a football team, 46th in the National Football League, third under leadership of general manager Doug Whaley and first under new head coach Rex Ryan. It was also the first full season under the ownership of Terry and Kim Pegula (who also own the Buffalo Sabres), having purchased the Bills partway through 2014 after the death of longtime owner Ralph Wilson in March at the age of 95. Chan Gailey
Thomas Chandler Gailey Jr. (born January 5, 1952) is a former American football coach. Most recently in 2020, he was the offensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). Gailey has previously served as the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and Buffalo Bills from 1998 to 2012. In a coaching career spanning 46 years, Gailey began his NFL career as part of Dan Reeves' coaching staff on the Denver Broncos from 1985 to 1990, appearing in Super Bowls XXI, XXII, and XXIV with the Broncos. Gailey was on the Pittsburgh Steelers staff from 1994 to 1997 when the Steelers won four straight AFC Central titles and coached in one Super Bowl ( XXX). David Lee (American Football Coach)
David Lee (born July 2, 1953) is an American football coach and former player. Lee has spent many years as a quarterbacks coach, and has served as the head coach of the UTEP Miners. College Lee attended Vanderbilt University from 1971 to 1975 where he earned a bachelor's degree in history in 1975. As the quarterback for the Vanderbilt Commodores football team, he served as team captain and was named the team's most valuable player in 1974. Lee went on to lead his team to a record of record of 7–3–2 including a 6–6 tie against the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Peach Bowl. Timothy McDonald (born January 6, 1965) is a former college and professional American football player who was a strong safety in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons during the 1980s and 1990s. McDonald played college football for the University of Southern California (USC), and was honored as a two-time All-American and two-time team MVP. A second-round pick in the 1987 NFL Draft, McDonald played professionally for the St. Louis/Phoenix Cardinals (1987-1992) and San Francisco 49ers (1993-1999) of the NFL. Karmichael MacKenzie "Karl" Dunbar II (born May 18, 1967) is an American football coach and former defensive lineman. He is currently the defensive line coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He previously coached defensive line for the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL). Michael Richard Devlin (born November 16, 1969) is a former professional American football player and coach who is the assistant offensive line coach for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). John Idzik Jr. (born 1961) is a former consultant for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He is the former general manager of the New York Jets.
