2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards
The 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony, organized by CJ E&M through its music channel Mnet, took place on December 2, 2015, at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. The ceremony was the sixth consecutive Mnet Asian Music Awards to be hosted outside of South Korea. Nominees were announced on October 30, 2015. Leading the nominees and awards was Big Bang with six. By the end of the ceremony the group received four wins alongside Exo, the most received awards of the night. Background This event marked the seventeenth Mnet Asian Music Awards. It was simultaneously broadcast live in Korea, Japan, America, Southeast Asia through various channels as well as via online live streaming. AsiaWorld–Expo
The AsiaWorld–Expo is one of the two major convention and exhibition facilities in Hong Kong along with Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It was opened on 21 December 2005 by Donald Tsang, the second Chief Executive of Hong Kong, and it is operated by AsiaWorld–Expo Management Limited. It is located on Chek Lap Kok island, next to the Hong Kong International Airport. History The complex was built under a public–private partnership involving the Hong Kong government, landowner Airport Authority Hong Kong, and a consortium led by private company Dragages et Travaux Publics. The name of the new centre, AsiaWorld–Expo, was announced on 27 November 2003, and is intended to reflect Hong Kong's " Asia's World City" promotional brand, which was launched in 2001. Monsta X (; stylized as MONSTA X) is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program ''No.Mercy'' under Starship Entertainment. The group is currently composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M, with former member Wonho having left the group in October 2019. "Roll Deep" (alternatively titled "Because I’m The Best" as well as "Cause I'm God Girl"; Korean: 잘나가서 그래; RR: ''Jalnagaseo geulae'') is a song recorded by South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper Hyuna. It serves as the lead single of her fourth extended play, '' A+'', which was released on August 21, 2015. It features guest vocals from South Korean rapper Jung Il-hoon of boy group BtoB. Commercially, "Roll Deep" peaked at number 13 on the Gaon Digital Chart and at number 3 on the US World Digital Song Sales chart. By the end of 2015, the song received over 467,000 digital downloads in the country. Hyuna
Kim Hyun-ah (born June 6, 1992), better known by the mononym Hyuna (stylized HyunA), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper and model. She debuted as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls in February 2007. Jessica Ho (born December 17, 1988), better known by her stage name Jessi, is an American rapper, singer, and entertainer based in South Korea. She was born in New York, raised in New Jersey, and moved to South Korea at the age of 15. Jessi originally debuted in South Korea in 2005 and temporarily was part of the hip hop group Uptown in 2006. "Fix You" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It was written by all four members of the band for their third studio album, '' X&Y'' (2005). It was released on 5 September 2005 as the second single from ''X&Y'' and reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. The song reached number 18 in the United States '' Billboard'' Hot Modern Rock Tracks. Promo singles were released for the UK and US. Superstar K7 () is the seventh season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 20 August 2015 on Mnet and aired Thursday nights at 11PM KST.
