2015 Long Beach EPrix
The 2015 Long Beach ePrix was a Formula E motor race held on 4 April 2015 in Long Beach, United States on a revised version of a street circuit usually used for the Grand Prix of Long Beach. It was the sixth championship race of the single-seater, electrically powered racing car series' inaugural season. China Racing driver Nelson Piquet Jr. became the sixth different winner in as many races, and as a result moved up to second place in the drivers' championship, one point in arrears of Audi Sport ABT's Lucas di Grassi. Di Grassi also finished in the podium placings, in third place, just behind Andretti driver Jean-Éric Vergne. Nicolas Prost ( e.dams-Renault) held the lead of the championship into the weekend, finished down in 14th position after serving a drive-through penalty. Sébastien Olivier Buemi (born 31 October 1988) is a Swiss professional racing driver, who competes in the FIA Formula E Championship for Envision Racing. He competed for Scuderia Toro Rosso in Formula One from 2009 to 2011. After leaving Formula One, Buemi became a reserve driver for Scuderia Toro Rosso's sister team, Red Bull Racing from 2012 to 2013. He returned to Red Bull Racing in 2019 as a reserve driver. Venturi Racing (formerly Venturi Formula E Team) is a Monegasque motor racing team controlled by Scott Swid (Chairman and principal owner) and José M Aznar Botella. The team competes in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Stéphane Jean-Marc Sarrazin (born 2 November 1975) is a French professional racing driver. He has won races across a number of single-seater, sportscar and rallying disciplines and competitions, was French Formula Renault champion in 1994, and Le Mans Series champion in both 2007 and 2010. He has finished on the podium six times at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, including four outright second positions, although he has never won. He participated in one Formula One Grand Prix, the 1999 Brazilian Grand Prix, for Minardi as a replacement for Luca Badoer, who had injured his wrist. António Maria de Mello Breyner Félix da Costa (born 31 August 1991) is a Portuguese professional racing driver for the Porsche Formula E Team and the 2019–20 Formula E Drivers' Champion. Scott Andrew Speed (born January 24, 1983) is an American race car driver who has competed in numerous disciplines, including open-wheel, stock car, and rallycross racing.
