2015 Latin Billboard Music Awards
The 2015 ''Billboard'' Latin Music Awards, recognizes the best-selling albums, songs, and performers in Latin music in 2014, as determined by their chart performance on '' Billboard''s weekly charts. The ceremony was broadcast live on Telemundo on April 30, 2015, from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. American singer-songwriter Romeo Santos won 10 awards including Artist of the Year. Spanish artist Enrique Iglesias was also a multiple winner in categories such as Hot Latin Song of the Year for " Bailando" and Latin Pop Album of the Year for '' Sex and Love''. Special awards were also handed out. Brazilian singer-songwriter Roberto Carlos received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Mexican-American Carlos Santana was honored with the ''Billboard'' "Spirit of Hope Award". Latin Music (genre)
Latin music (Portuguese and es, música latina) is a term used by the music industry as a catch-all category for various styles of music from Ibero-America (including Spain and Portugal) and the Latino United States inspired by Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese music genres, as well as music that is sung in either Spanish and/or Portuguese. Terminology and categorization Because the majority of Latino immigrants living in New York City in the 1950s were of Puerto Rican or Cuban descent, "Latin music" had been stereotyped as music simply originating from the Spanish Caribbean. The popularization of bossa nova and Herb Alpert's Mexican-influenced sounds in the 1960s did little to change the perceived image of Latin music. ''Un Nuevo Día'' (''A New Day'') is an American television morning show which aired on Telemundo from 2008 to 2021. It originally premiered in 2008 as ''¡Levántate!'' (''Get Up!''), which was produced from Telemundo's studios in Puerto Rico. In 2011, it re-located to Miami with a revamped on-air staff and a larger focus on entertainment content. Nathalia ( ) is a town in northern Victoria, Australia. The town is located within the Shire of Moira local government area on the banks of Broken Creek and on the Murray Valley Highway. At the 2021 census, Nathalia had a population of 1,982. History Prior to European settlement, the area around Nathalia was occupied by the Yorta Yorta people. In 1838, Charles Sturt was the first European to explore the area, following the Murray River downstream. The squatter, W.J Locke established Kotupna station on the future site of Nathalia in 1843. Geoffrey Royce Rojas (born May 11, 1989), known professionally as Prince Royce, is an American singer. At an early age, Royce took an interest in music, and in his teenage years began experimenting with music and writing poetry. By age nineteen, Royce met Andrés Hidalgo, who became his manager. Marco Antonio Solís Sosa (born 29 December 1959) is a Mexican musician, singer, composer, and record producer. Born and raised in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Solís began his musical career at the age of six, performing part of Los Hermanitos Solís.
